Do you see what I see?

canstockphoto8630797Reality is ones perception of ones surroundings.

Writing is ones communication of ones reality.

Therefore, as I ponder the words I type right now, including the ones that have been deleted, the goal is to convey through text, my current, past or induced state. By induced I mean  the state of mind I wish to be in, i.e. happiness. I try to emulate the feeling as to accurately place the corresponding words into a sentence for others to read.

Others, being you, and by purpose no relatives or friends.

Others , that not knowing me, will have to be given enough of my perception of events as to connect on a personal level of some sort.

But is that even possible?

I am not saying hard facts cannot draw the same conclusions, the apple was green and tasted bitter, or, we slept on the hard concrete floor. We are all taught that concrete is hard, and what to express when we have a certain taste, bitter vs sweet. Taught also is the expression of outside forces, wet, dry, hot, cold, to name but a few. There may be differences that vary from nationality to nationality, but there will be a core amount of common understood expressions.

What I am asking is, can I really convey my sense of reality to others if only I perceive it. Will you not be perceiving your own understanding from reading this in your own perception, drawing from your experiences.

Fire burns, its hot and very painful.

We are not only told this over and over again as children, we at some time have to experience it. The memory may not be recallable, but deep down it is understood.

Was your pain exactly the same as mine?

No matter how hard I try to convey my pain across to you via words, you will only feel your pain, your memory, your perception.

So that then begs the question, do I try to communicate MY reality when writing, or am I simply trying to write yours?

To avocado or not to avocado

canstockphoto8630797

I know of the health benefits for eating the avocado and I know of the versatility in its food application. Heck I have just tried a chocolate mousse recipe, one of which I was really looking forward to, after all who would pass up a chocolate dessert?

I  mixed the ingredients together into a wonderfully creamy consistency, the avocado just ripe. A small taster on the tip of the spoon caressed my taste buds, the mix between sweet and bitter balanced in a rich velvety textured delight.

My next heaped spoon of this delight was shovelled in with total abandon. The texture once more caressing the inside of the mouth, bitter and sweet danced on my tongue.

Then the avocado started to add its distinct flavour to the mix, subtle at first, even when swallowed the flavour kept increasing. The flavour reached a point I needed to swill it away, swill it would not. I write this chewing gum, but still the taste lingers, my mind not wanting to let go of the flavour.

The humble avocado, oft mistaken for a veg, when in reality, it is the Marmite of the fruit world; you either love it or hate it.

Unfortunately I hate it, sweet or savoury.

Just another day

canstockphoto8630797What do I want?

Yes, what do you want?

I don’t know.

How do you not know?

What is your goal?

Goal?

Yes, what goal in life do you have?

I don’t, I just want to get through the day.

Thats not good enough, you should set goals.

Ok, my goal is to get through the day.

Phhhht, thats not a goal.

It is for me.

Go for a walk!

Outside?

Yes, outside , you need to get some shopping from town ,go out get some fresh air.

The walk will do you good.

Town?

Not going town.

Why not?

Too many people.

There wont be that many, and you have escape routes in place.

Maybe tomorrow.

You said that yesterday.

But i take the dog for a walk, that must count.

That does not get the shopping done!

Do I have too?

Yes! Get your sorry ass out and down the town!

I hate you!

I don’t care, reflections have no feelings.
